Angelina Jolie's Versace wedding dress, veil sketch
Photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wedding made their debut this week -- including glimpses of the actress' wedding dress.
Now, Donatella Versace has released her sketch of the dress and veil, along with more details about the design.
The custom-made Atelier Versace white silk-satin gown gathered at the bust and had an elongated train, detailed with embroidered drawings by the couple's six children. Their artwork also appeared on the bride's silk veil.
Jolie, 39, also wore a pair of white Versace silk-satin pumps for the occasion.
"Beauty, class and brain. That's you, Angelina," the designer said in a statement. "I wish all the best and happiness to you and your wonderful family. Love, DV."
Jolie turned to Atelier Versace's master tailor Luigi Massi to hand-stitch dozens of her children's drawings into the dress and veil.
"Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress," she told People magazine, which published the couple's wedding photos. "He knows and cares for the children, and it was great fun putting it together."
Jolie, 39, and Pitt, 50, married on Aug. 23 at their French Chateau.
A wonderfully personalized idea well executed celebrating family bonds and sweetness...Bravo to thinking OUTSIDE the box!
And the film that ignited the romance....Mr. & Mrs. Smith: Love at first SHOT!lol

We visited many other venues and weren't completely happy. Most places lacked of the choices for table/chair covers to go with our theme and lack of lighting variations. I decided to pull the trigger on banquet halls in Miami because they offer many things that we wanted.
